Manuel de Zárraga
Executive Managing Director, Executive Committee Council Member, JLL Capital Markets, Americas
Manny is an Executive Managing Director and member of JLL Capital Markets, Americas’ Executive Council Committee and a member of the JLL Global Capital Markets Advisory Board. He joined JLL as part of the HFF acquisition and serves as co-head of the firm’s National Investment Sales Advisory Group. Manny has more than 30 years of experience in real estate investment banking and specializes in the execution and expansion of the firm’s capital markets platform through the representation of institutional and major global family offices owners of institutional-grade commercial real estate properties. Manny served for over 21 years on the HFF/JLL Capital Markets Executive Committee. He is also an active member of the Global Capital Team, with a special focus on the Latin American markets. Manny has been involved in more than $27 billion of capital markets transaction volume.
Prior to joining HFF in 2002, Manny was a principal and managing director at Sonnenblick-Goldman Company for 14 years and served on the firm’s executive committee. During his time there, he was involved in real estate capital transactions made up of all major property types. He also serves since 1994 as the U.S. investment advisor to Grupo Multiplan, Brazil’s dominant regional mall developer, and previously served as the privatization advisor to the government of Puerto Rico for the sale of government owned hotels. Prior to Sonnenblick-Goldman, Manny was vice president of the Trade Finance Corporation, where he worked in the development of a mortgage-based securitization program in conjunction with Salomon Brothers.
Jakub Hejl
Founder and President, Westside Capital
Mr. Hejl is the Founder and President of Westside Capital Group (“Westside”). He is responsible for the strategic direction, risk management and management of the company and its investments.
Mr. Hejl’s real estate transactional experience includes real estate transactions of different kinds in excess of $3 billion in the aggregate both in the United States and Europe. Westside is a real estate investment company with a diverse portfolio of multifamily and mixed-use assets and land in Southeastern United States in Florida, Georgia, and Alabama. Westside also has a multibillion development
pipeline of multifamily and mixed-use assets on developable land it owns mostly in Florida. The company is actively pursuing investments in existing assets, real estate companies as well as land for development throughout the Southeastern, Mid-Atlantic and Sunbelt U.S.
Mr. Hejl earned a business degree in Finance and Real Estate with a concentration in Economics from the University of Miami School of Business and graduated with honors. He is also an alumnus of the Hyperion Council, a charitable initiative led by the Dean of the School of Business at the University of Miami with a focus on helping underprivileged communities in the US and abroad. Aside from work, Mr. Hejl has had great interest in sports and politics. Mr. Hejl worked for a real estate private equity firm DRA Advisors in New York, and for a real estate private equity firm Westbrook Partners in London. Mr. Hejl also briefly worked at the Real Estate Investment Banking Group at Citigroup in New York.
Marc Chasin
VP, Eden Multifamily
As VP, Marc organizes and coordinates with team members, partners, and investors through various levels of participation at EDEN Multifamily.
Including acquisitions, underwriting, capital markets & financing, investor & partner relations, corporate strategy & growth, deal structuring, development & pipeline management, asset management, dispositions, and more. He has been involved in developing over 3,500 multifamily units and counting as EDEN rapidly expands its geographical footprint.
Marc earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, concentrating in Finance, from Ithaca College. He also spent four years as a starting guard on the basketball team — three of them as team captain. He finished his Ithaca career as fourth all-time in total points scored and tenth all-time in total assists.
Marc is a Miami native who loves boating, beaching, fishing, and all other activities related to the water.
Diego Torrealba
Senior Vice President, MG Developer
Diego Torrealba is Senior Vice President at MG Developer, a residential developer with headquarters in Coral Gables and currently the most active developer in Hialeah.
Prior to the promotion to Senior Vice President, Diego was the Vice President of Real Estate Development at MG Developer and was responsible for the management of investor and lender relations, he reported for $400M in active development projects, assisted with negotiations for all projects, and evaluated investment opportunities.
Diego Torrealba is also a studying at Miami Herbert Business School to attain a Master of Business Administration in the Accelerated MBA in Real Estate Program and he graduated from Boston University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics. Throughout his academic journey, he distinguished himself both in the classroom and on the field as a member of the university’s Division 1 soccer team.
Diego currently serves as a member of the Coral Gables Museum Young Associates board and holds a real estate sales agent license with One Sotheby’s International Realty.

Prior to launching Altara Properties in 2021, Demetri worked in acquisitions and business development for Galium Capital, a Miami-based real estate private equity firm and helped grow the firm’s AUM from $300+ million to $650+ million. Demetri has also previously worked as in real estate brokerage with Spectrum Realty Group and Century 21 Premier Elite Realty.
